Why does Mumba being a top prospect have anything to do with it being a priority to get Embleton to sign a new contract?so was he out on ,oan because he cant contribute now? yes..mumba can corntribute now..thats whyt mumba was ahead of embleton in th queue..now we have offered emebleton something..so all is well..people think i want embleton gone..I dont..i WANT HIM OFFERED A contract..and he has been
which point of view have i changed? i never said embleton should be binjned.,..in fact i said the very opposite..i never said maguire hasnt succeeded..he has so far..
mumba is not a better prospect than embleton? thats your view? whats i based on?
Playing hardball imo. Fair enough. You must be logged on to see external linksYou must be logged on to see external links
Paul Cook could not have been more emphatic on the Will Grigg speculation: “Are we looking to sell players? No. Why would we? Will Grigg is one of the mainstays of my success here. Will knows what I’m waiting for to get him back in the team...Powell, Jacobs, Massey.”
because we offered one to mumba first..and he signed it..showing we can offer youth players contracts at comeptitive levels and they sign..Why does Mumba being a top prospect have anything to do with it being a priority to get Embleton to sign a new contract?
Both are current England youth internationals who are developing well this season. Both will hopefully be the future of the club and be first team players in the next couple of years.
It’s the best football song of all timeWa ganna sing that song ain’t we?.
They are both massively important to our future.because we offered one to mumba first..and he signed it..showing we can offer youth players contracts at comeptitive levels and they sign..
embleton is further from the first team than mumba right now..so less important..but has been offered one..which is good news. I dont know whats controversial..people made up that I would bin embleton..which is the opposite of what I would do..but any business has to priotitise tasks and expenditure..mumba deserved to be ahigher peiority and was..now embleton's turn has come..
and they are..one is signed the other has had an offer..though i think your over estimating their potential thats just an opinion on my part..They are both massively important to our future.
Embleton may well be ready to start in the first team next season as he needed this loan experience of playing against senior men to develop his game. These are both players with fantastic technique with potential to play in the Premier league so of course they should be top priorities for us to get signed up.
so muba deserved to be a higher prioritty because he didnt have a contarct? thats fine..i rate mumba higher..the club do as well..but thats not related to contracts..mumba was a higher priority and deserved to be was my point..Mumba didn’t have a contract, Embleton did. It doesn’t appear to be anything to do with how much they are valued by the Club or how much closer to first team football either of them are. The fact is that Embleton he played many more first team games than Mumba.
Both are very promising players and both deserving of a contract.
We'll have to disagree on this then. Both are part of exceptional England youth squads and have shown this season that they are adapting to senior football. Of course being really talented so young doesn't automatically mean they'll fulfil their potential but I think they've shown enough to prove that the potential is there imo.and they are..one is signed the other has had an offer..though i think your over estimating their potential thats just an opinion on my part..
the potential is there for sure...but the england team can go either way..as can the being really young and playing firt team thing..as sinclair being the youngest ever fopr liverpool proves! We'll have to disagree on this then. There is go again changing your argument. You said Mumba was more deserving because he was closer to the first team.and they are..one is signed the other has had an offer..though i think your over estimating their potential thats just an opinion on my part..

so how do we price potential? the same way we did with arnot elliot bridges and same way we trying with maja not all were 100 per cent sure were going to make itwhere is the bit where i said he should be binned?
any decision on offerinf him a contract is based on potential..not what he has achieved now..so how do we price potential? well we price it based on age, achievementy so far for example, mumba has arguably achieved more at ayounger age..
and it was a priority because he was closer to the first team is my opinion..he is more valuable to the club right now..but how do you know which reason is true? mumba didnt have a contract fine, he needed it, and so was a priority, its also afact he is more highly rated by the club right now..both things are true..as its true emvbleton should be offered a contract now, and he has been..There is go again changing your argument. You said Mumba was more deserving because he was closer to the first team.
The reality was that he didn’t have a contract. That was the priority.
age plus what they have achieved, plus attitude all factors, but its massively difficult for sunderland because we have to price them for us being in ahigher league..so how do we price potential? the same way we did with arnot elliot bridges and same way we trying with maja not all were 100 per cent sure were going to make it
before comparing them should of went along and saw them play in the same team for the kids i did they played well togetherthe person said it had been good for maguire..i said we arent a chairty has it been good for us> I didnt say it hadnt..you making stuff up again..
why is keeping embleton an absoliute priority? we should offer him somehting and have..but why is he more important than keeping others who are contributing more rightr now? embleton has contributed zero to us this season..the priority is to reward those who are contributing now..then second in line is rto reaward those we think can contribute in future,,,thats the line for embleton..
and mumba has progressed further? did they play in the same kids team..rthere is a difference in age..mumba was playing above his age grade consistentyly..indicates he has a lot of potential..before comparing them should of went along and saw them play in the same team for the kids i did they played well together
Of course it can but there's no way we could actually afford to buy someone with Embleton's potential so getting signed up is obviously going to be a top priority.the potential is there for sure...but the england team can go either way..as can the being really young and playing firt team thing..as sinclair being the youngest ever fopr liverpool proves!
People are evacuating Embleton based on his England u20 performances is the summerthe maguire analogy is people over valued him earlier in the season..saying he should be in the scotland squad etc..now reality is hitting home..people are now over valuing embleton cos he had a good spell in the divisio n below us..short term thinking is almost always wrong..long term thinking helps unearth value..so I do the long term..embleton should be offered a contract commensurate with what he has achieved so far..and he has been..i dont know what the fuss is about?
