Love that caveat one ‘no point in signing players who can’t play in the Championship’

I get the point, but ultimately it’s hard like you to say to unearth a Vardy type. Best you can do is build a team who can compete with teams higher.

You do that by yes good recruitment but also by a manager who can get them playing the way he wants and having something greater than the sum of it’s parts.

Sheff Utd have competed at the right end of the Championship last couple seasons. Some of their regular starters include John Fleck, John Egan, Chris Basham, Enda Stevens, George Baldock.

Two seasons ago these players were what we definitely would’ve classed as League One quality?

Why? Well they were in League One which is where we are.
Good post that Dave marra.

Bring him or anyone home, as long an eye for the bloody goal straight off! Cannot afford someone to be carried on the run in.

Sure the Scouting Team have identified targets that fit the criteria JR is working to. Just are they willing to come, can we afford them, no injuries.

Bring them home my Bonnie Lads, if the crowds, the Supporters and Netflix along with SOL and our dreams and aspirations are not enough.

Then perhaps they are not the right player. We need an O'Nien player but a striker version.

I likw that Stewart is talking to them as well....its a personal touch from a club owner , he can try to sell his vision for the club, rather than it just being a business transaction done between agent and lawywer
