I think they are good signings for sure I wouldn’t say the Dunne one was us throwing our weight about though.

Grigg be good signing, have to do it if we can but we will need a lot of work next season. Guess cross that when we come to it

Not convinced he will come mind he cost Wigan over 1 mill n the owners have been fairly reluctant to go that high

Sure it was mentioned on the podcast that we can go over £1m for a player if needed

Given that SD said in podcast he had spoken to a defender and a striker earlier that day and you are not allowed to speak to a player without permission from club and you wouldn't allow that unless confident of a deal. .

.....it must be close.

mcgeady and honeyman are the playmakers...catts and power the shithouses..we have the second highest number of goals scored in the division i think...
Aye and plenty of draws too. People think we should be steam rolling over teams, this is what we need to do it.. Honeyman and McGeady ,Gooch etc are too small and weak. Catts is all but finished, he cant run .Only Power and occasionally McGuire have the wherewithall to compete.

Don’t think they exist in league one mate.
Was talking to my dad about this last night. People talk like its so easy - sign a ball playing commanding centre half, sign a guaranteed 20 goal a season striker, sign a creative central midfielder who is box to box, can tackle and score goals.

A classic on here is sign players who are ready to play in the championship.

As if it is that easy or those players are not already at a higher level.

I'm sure a rare gem does exist we can sign from lower leagues (like Jamie Vardy) but they are so rare.

Overheard a couple of SAFC staff in the Hilton this morning talking about a new player arriving at 1030. Must have been talking about Dunne.
I stayed there last night. Someone associated with Kimpioka was arguing about the bill this morning. Apparently the club only pay for Kimpiokas room and breakfast and not his dinner. I'm assuming he is living there at the minute.

True aye. Like when players such as Sessegnon or Adam Johnson used to get stick for being inconsistent when really they were ideal for our level at the time. Would be playing elsewhere if they did what they did every week.

I think taking a starter of one of the bigger SPL teams is throwing our weight around tbh. I doubt any other team in this league could do it? In fact I don't think many teams in this league could attract a loan who's been starting games at all, nevermind a player who their fanbase is gutted to lose  Grigg will be a decent second striker next year.

I think we'll be spending the N'Dong and Papy compensation, and the owner also said we won a few court battles on the latest RR podcast. I don't think a million or so is out the question (no idea about wages).
thought alverez has apealed against what he was awarded ?
