This is it for me. Making it public increases pressure and can/has caused chaos. We’ve got one of or biggest games tomorrow and we might now be without our most important player because the knifes are out and it’s going to be more about him than the game. Kept privately tomorrow would be no different to Blackpool which was arguably his best game.

Think Donald was a bit naive how much uproar it would cause (both making deadline public and today’s tweets) because he’s tried to protect him since. I think he will probably regret it now.
If Donald hasn't said anything and Sky ran the story anyway, it's bad. If he does say something as he has done, it's still can be/is bad. It's not a great situation but it seems to me like there's a bit more to unfold

That's just your take on it. It's not a fact.

He's about to get more money from us but there are lowly premiership teams desperate to cling to their top flight status who will throw the TV money about.

I agree with that last bit though

So you agree he doesn't want to sign the contract and wants to go where the money is

I'll be gutted to lose him but there's a Doncaster striker ahead of him. A good few others who have scored 14 and just below. What I mean he's not the only player in this league that scores goals. Just got to hope we can sign someone who can get the goals.
His conversion rate is fairly phenomenal mind. It’s losing that that is my concern as we still don’t create as many chances as other sides.

I might be missing it here but didn’t the agent report it to Sky that he wasn’t signing and Stewart tweeted to clear it up for the fans. But again you ignore that and bring it back to the ‘deadline’....

It will still probably drag on all window one way or another. But now probably with him being ‘rested’ to avoid being abused for a month.
