Maja could have signed the deal if he wanted. He can offer Maja advice but at the end of the day the agent doesn't ultimately control the use of his writing hand.

If Maja jumps to a higher level right now then that could be the end for him in footballing terms. It's laughable to think he'd have any impact at Premier League level and hopeful at best to think he can do it in the Championship. Look at Asoro, and he was rated more highly than Maja!

Why these players think agents have their best interests at heart is beyond me. All his agent is thinking of is the commission from Maja's next move.

To be fair to Maja, the lad is only 20 years old. We have no idea of the Agent’s personality and powers of ‘persuasion’ and I use that word loosely.

From what I have read the club offered the deal Maja wanted. He is playing first team footy and scoring goals in front of 30k+ fans and working for a manager he apparently has a good relationship with and is developing well under.

The Agent’s motivation is surely only financial, not for footballing reasons.

My guess is his agent called someone at sky to pass on his "News" to raise the profile. Probably wrong but one thing is for sure, our new owner is really open about the crap that agents put them through. If he does play tomorrow, I really hope the 3000 fans get behind him and show him what he'll be missing

Will get dogs abuse man

Not really. He answers to supports of this club and frankly, it was always going to be the twitter communication that would cause some issues down the line. Twitter isn't the place to have disputes in agreements and communication at high buisness level
He’s not having a dispute on Twitter. He’s telling the fans what’s going on behind the scenes to avoid confusion and conflict between the player and fans.

People need to embrace social media.

The hilarious thing is, if Stewart Donald hadn’t said anything you’d currently being having an absolutely huge meltdown about how the club should have offered him what he wanted.

No I wouldn't, he shouldn't be tweeting stuff like that, if you really think he does then you don't have the best interests of the club at heart.

You aren't fans you are turning into mags with a messiah complex about the owner, can't have discussions with anyone, that is the "hilarious thing"

Someone accused him of that and he replied saying that the fans should support Maja.

Aye I saw that. I think. He tweeted before that as well again saying people should support him because he will try to change his mind.

I think the whole thing makes a mockery of this deadline nonsense though. While I don’t think Maja has done anything wrong loads of gas have already got the pitch forks out to the point owner is virtually begging people not to and protecting him. He wouldn’t have had to do it if he didn’t announce this deadline that is moot anyway because he’s said he’s still going to try and convince him to sign anyway.

I don't think you realise how many problems acting like that on twitter is going to cause if we rise through the leagues, its unprofessional at league one level never mind top end championship level

Young Players take a hell of a risk running down their contract. Imagine if he does has a career threatening injury over the next six months.

From listening to Dowie on SSN he was enunciating very carefully and speaking slower than usual in an attempt tto accurately read what had been put infront of him. I suspect the club/agent has been having a word
