well it's either club statement or nothing at all (ala Ellis Short) if you aren't happy with twitter communication?

A club statement not just tweets cut and paste

I just think that’s a bit more professional that’s all, I ain’t knocking him too much mind so don’t get all arsey like the rest

Repsond could have been put through a spell checker anarl with a statement

Come on GOM, the answer to this question is never 'I'd prefer him to be more like Ridsdale at Leeds' is it? There's an enormous middle ground that the overwhelming majority of good football club owners inhabit. I'd have preferred him to act in that fashion, dignified, giving the player a chance to potentially change his mind and dealing with it in a way that doesn't take anything off the table.

I thinks he's done that by pointing the fans towards his agent and asking is to support Maja. Saying he hopes to change his mind.If fans thought it was because he didn't want to sign he's have got dogs abuse. Now hopefully people will be focused on the game playing by his agent.

Or there would have been every other poster claiming the owners had offered 2p and a pork pie.

Now there is no grey area

Maja wants to sign
Agent advised not too
Club offered in contract money requested by agent

Fair enough to me.

Are you seriously for real??? This is football we re talking about. Right now Maja is a footballing asset and commodity. Your incredibly naive if you think that's the case. The club will seek to get the maximum return they can on Maja especially given our financial and league position. If he's not prepared to commit to a new contract at the club its common sense the cub will cash in to the highest extent. As far as Maja having any desire as to where he goes, he can only do that by not agree terms at whatever club he either fancy or doesn't. If SAFC accept any clubs offer then he's free to talk to them. If he refuses their offer, in an attempt to run down his contract that makes his position at the club untenable and his popularity at the club will plummet.

Are you seriously for real??? If Bristol City offer £5M for him and Aresenal offer £2M, and Sunderland accept the Bristol City offer are you really that niaive to think that Maja will go to Bristol City just because they were the highest bidder?

You seem to want league one football

Do you think any of our best players over the last 30 years were absolutely desperate to be here and wouldn't have left if they got an offer from a top top club? Its just fantasist shite.

Quite frankly put, it's just unprofessional. Its incredibly incredibly small time

I have no fuckin clue what you’re talking about? The club offered him what he wanted!

If he knew he was off why did he see Ross yesterday to say he was signing? Its his agent playing games to get his payout.

There is no logic in keeping him IF we can get good money for him now IF he refuses to sign

Yes there is, we need to get promoted and he just won us 4 points last week

How is that not logic?

I'd be tempted to keep him till the summer and go with whatever a tribunal decide he's worth, can there really be that much difference between what a club would offer for a player out of contract in the summer, vs what a tribunal would award for a first team regular??, not to mention how much to replace him if he's sold now?
