It’s the nature of the flawed “survive in the PL at all costs” strategy. Personally I don’t miss it at all and I’m looking forward to getting into what I consider the best compromise which is the Championship. Some great clubs in there and I reckon we could get high 30’s average with a fair few over 40 being reasonably competitive.....and we can continue to sign proper players with the character of the likes of O’Nien and bring our academy lads through too. The PL is a busted flush for the fans of most clubs.....look at Burnley’s whinging on now.,...or Newcastle’s doing it constantly.

You mention O’Nien, I spoke about him yesterday and reckon he is probably on half the wages of Maguire.

I’d rather have two players with the attitude and work ethic of O’Nien than a player who might decide to turn it on or scores the odd screamer!

He'd be daft going to them, it's the only f***ing club he can score goals against. Should sign for someone who hasn't played them yet if there are any
