if we fail to get promoted

Not looking likely at the minute. Just getting promoted would suffice
If we win our 2 games in hand we will be 2 points from top spot. If not for the sending off yesterday that could have been 1 point (or better).

It’s far from certain, but it’s certainly realistic.

Fuckin hell, have we lost a game.
We’ve lost a game - no chance of promotion now. We might even end up in League 2!

I think there would have to be very big questions asked. Done a decent job so far but he really has to be getting us promoted.
How quickly people forget the state that this club was in six months ago - no manager and no team. A realistic estimate of how long it would take to rebuild the club and the team in order to achieve promotion at that time would have been two to three seasons. If we get in to a play off position this season we will have done amazingly well . Personally I think that we can dare to hope for much better than that.

If we fail to get promoted this season, we'll lose our better young players to championship teams, and we could be stuck in this league for a lot longer.

It is a lost game though that has meant we are closer to the two below us than the two above us. We are on the same points as the team directly below us (Charlton Athletic) and two points from the team below them (Peterborough). We are now four points from Luton Town and eight points of P0*****uth. Either way you see it even if we win the two games in hand (and people think we somehow will even though it is by no means certain).

That game has cost us and set us back.

Ross is doing a good job at the moment. However, failure to get promoted would mean his position should be under review. His objective is to get us up, if we don't go up then it's failure. He will know this. Owners very clear on the target. Said before, this squad should be top 2 by end of season. Play offs is a guarantee TBH. The players themselves would get that even without the manager having a big impact .
