I'd be surprised if it couldn't but what do I know. I think he's played it too cautiously. It's not going to be as chaotic as people think I think Donald is basing his costs on pure guesswork
Of course he is basing it on guesswork. This is uncharted, we have little idea how many people will come.

8k came last time but some won't come to this but many more might due to it being the mags. Plus xxx amount of mags. The crowd could be 10k to 25k. So he will have to judge the price on the worst cases of say 25k and the police costs for that.

This is a game against a reserve team where tickets are nowhere near as expensive. In fact you can get in for free to watch our reserves (that were in a higher league than Newcastles team till last year) with your season card at Hetton.
Don’t go then mate. It’s not rocket science. The owner has explained the rise is to cover the costs of the police and that’s understandable.

I'm not arsed about the price as such I just think it could of been a tenner which probably would of drawn some extra fans. Policing cost 55k for a first team match against boro last season it's really not going to be much more for Newcastle bairns
Who knows marra. The owners have already questioned why we pay more for our policing than them up the road. I suppose it will depend on how many tickets they take. There’s not really a precedent for this, as you rightly point out it’s not their first team, but having said that it may bring out their loopy element.

They're clearly expecting more because they're selling two stands rather than one. It's really unknown territory, so it's probably very heard even to guesstimate the likely gate. Looking at the policing costs that were spoken about earlier this year (with ours being much higher than the Mags), the bill for this one could well be anywhere in the £50-100k range.
They'll also open the West Stand if the other 2 stands sell out

I'd be surprised if Newcastle bring 3k plus at 15 quid a ticket. Is it priced in order to keep the amount of their fans down.. Less trouble.. Less policing?

Some fuckers seem petrified that the mags may take over the ground. Let them.
Seriously marra?

I’ve no idea mate, it could be a combination of those things plus a few more we haven’t even thought of, but I’m certain it’s mainly to do with the cost of policing it. FWIW I wouldn’t give them any more tickets than they gave us last time. If as some of them are suggesting, it’s a non game and they have no interest in it, then they won’t be too arsed about it.

@stewartdonald3:No under competition rules they are entitled 10 percent of our capacity so just short of 5000 tickets potentially.

Think he'll give them this many ?
