We’ll take less than 1000 on a crowd of no more than 25k.
There’s no way any self respecting SAFC fan can see a reserve game ( for us ) as a big game. You surely havnt got that low where you now see our under 23s as your rivals ??

Pot. Kettle. Black mag.....if you're talking about low....then how low/sad/pathetic is it that mags follow us round the country in their gravy stained shirts at most of the away games we've played this season.

Find it hilarious me:lol:

I'm not looking at it like that, we're playing a team representing your club. I want us to win every game we play. If you are given 3k tickets, you will snap them up.

don't think we will tbh, be lucky to sell half that, its our bairns man

Nope. This is entirely different. You've never brought grat numbers forreserve games against us.

You will sell thousands for this one, as it is a big game, regardless of whether or not you want us to believe otherwise.

Is it a PL game, no. FA Cup? Nope. It's a lower league cup match, but it's importance is high on the agenda because our rivalry runs deep. Deep enough to know that this is a game both sets of fans will be desperate to win.

This. And we should be looking to sell out, or at the very least attract 40k.

I'm not at all desperate for our bairns to win this game. Not even remotely. In fact I expect them to lose. Our setup etc is incredibly poor and up until we suspended Beardsley our youth setup had been an actual joke. If you don't win this easily it will be embarrassing. It's a non event for me, like the friendly behind closed doors. Unless it's both first teams I couldn't give a shiny shit. I doubt you will play full strength either.

No it won't.

You're only playing it down, in fear of of losing and being shown up. Deep down, you'll be hopeful you can win. I hope we play a full strength side.

They'll select their two best players.

As if we'll only give them 300 tickets man.

We'll do well off ifollow as well, no doubt loads of mags will pay to see it.

Will we shite  with all due respect this competition only matters to lower league teams. We are fighting for survival in the prem in a month with a crowded fixture schedule anyway. We won't be playing our first teamers in a pointless game. You might see a return from injury, perhaps someone like Dummett who has missed games to try catch him up but that's it.

If your first team loses to our bairns you wouldn't be embarrassed? Aye righto.

It’s bizarre how you can see this is as big as a game as you suggest. It’s tragic that as a Sunderland fan you think we’re so far apart that this is now your derby.
A proper derby would see you hurling abuse at your Joey Barton’s, your Alan Shearers etc. Your seriously telling me your going to get so worked up over a game against a bunch of kids. Come off it.

If this is the biggest game of your season and you think it’ll pull the biggest crowd then good luck to you but we’ll agree to disagree on this one.

It's not tragic at all. No one said it was our biggest game of the season, however any derby is a big game in my eyes. No matter the competition. Unsure why fans these days are quick to play things down, all in a sad attempt to call people obsessed, embarrassed, deluded etc.

It's a derby and should hopefully be a good game, with a partisan crowd.

But it isn't though is it. It's your first team against our bairns. Not one person within the first team setup will be giving a flying fuck about this fixture.

They'll still want to win. The majority of your fans will be desperate to win, we are talking about select fans that have attended the majority of our games this season to support the opposition.

I don't think one person has said it's a 'proper' derby but it's still a derby nonetheless. It is a team representing Sunderland against a team representing Newcastle. I want us to kick your butts every single time we play you, even if it's the under 15's.

I agree i'd love to see them win, however the mere fact you have to roll out your first team against our bairns is f***ing hilarious.

We can't lose and you know it

Would the mags celebrate winning the trophy?
Nah but they would have an open top bus if the U23s beat our first team.

We will get promoted and we have a chance of winning this cup. You struggled against a shit team last round only just got through on penalties. What makes you think you will do anything against a better side.
