Anyone still against it.

Salah has just scored a clear offside goal and it stood. Bournemouth can feel hard done by.

I was against it. But now starting to come round to it, simply because I would of loved that goal to be rightly ruled out, mainly because I'm not keen on Liverpool

I am for it, for the exact reason it is clear offside with the benefit of a replay and not clear without it

What if Salah had missed but had led to Liverpool still scoring, would that be disallowed, and if so how long from the potential offside can you continue before you're allowed to score? What if the opposing team wins the ball back and begins to attack, and ref gets offside call in his ear?

Far too vague. Caused absolute chaos in the World Cup. Had it for a few cup games last year as well, was a farce.

They need some hi-tech player and ball tracking system running during the game that can automatically detect if a pass is offside and instantly alert the referee.
Similar technologies are being used in industry and the concept is proven....however it would do away with linesmen, who imo are useless anyway.

i am totally for VAR, have been since i watched it during the world cup, it may make a few mistakes early doors, but sooner or later those mistakes will be sorted out, and in this day and age, its stupid to ask referees to use the same set of skills they have done for over 100 years, the tech is their lets use it, and get it right.

Also this.

Did not cause chaos whatsoever

It’s a very straightforward system and var does not give a decision. It offers the referee to look again and then he either stays with his live decision, or chooses to change his decision

If people can get through their heads, it all becomes straightforward

The referee as it has been since football began, is the sole arbitrator

Yep, totally against it still, fucks up the game for the acutal fans in favour of armchair supporters.
Wrong.

In premier league, the decisions will be seen on the big screen

Yeah, big sceen, way better than enjoying a big goal in real time.

It's a TV gimmick that does nothing for attending fans.

I'm for it aslong as they don't start giving handballs like the shambles of the WC

Liverpool are a lot more palatable than their perpetual 'chip on the shoulder' neighbours.

Just for interest, safc v nufc 90th min, they score from what you can see is an offside position, you would accept that and say it was one of those things?

Never mind, it evens up

I was just about to use the same example

Imagine Johnson's winner in the last min against the mags and having to wait for a replay....moment of joy you'll remember forever well and truly killed.

I know we'll never agree but I hate it Carty lad.

But if we score from an offside position would you still want it?
Not if var. clearly showed it was offside

It’s coming, it’s a very easy system to understand

Why people fail to understand its simplicity is beyond me.
