Same squad and manager took until the 37th game the following season to confirm they weren't getting relegated.
If Pardew takes credit for 5th and his incredible managerial skills, then he takes blame for the following season. And the others that followed at Newcastle, palace and west brom.

This thread has deteriorated significantly. As things stand, Sunderland are in League One. Newcastle are a premiership side, albeit a one that looks canny average. Newcastle fans like the Newcastle manager. Sunderland fans like the Sunderland manager. That won't change, no matter how much people try on this board. It is just the internet, with people talking shite to each other. Nothing that is said on her actually means anything. All bollocks, all bravado.

Couldn't agree less, this is an excellent forum and many important issues are raised.

I've had my opinion changed, changed a few and apologised to quite a few people.

Some people are totally blinkered but to suggest we all are is a sweeping generalisation.

You will never change your mind about Newcastle though will you. Sir Tasker basically sums it up. Newcastle are miles ahead of Sunderland no matter how much you enjoy Third Division football. And never in history has Newcastle played Third Division football. And never in history have Sunderland fans wanted to watch Third Divisision out of choice.
