That's all it is. Pure low level salesmanship. "Well you better buy now because somebody was here earlier and they were really keen...".
Come January nothing will have happened.
Obviously hope it does but I think he's just trying to placate fans and make it an easy january

It’s his get out for no money for Rafa to spend in January.

It'll happen eventually, my one concern if I was a Mag would be that you've (as a group of fans I mean) wound him up so much that he doesn't really give two hoots about the buyer and sells to someone who can run the club into trouble. Football is absolutely screwed, there will never be another Man City/PSG scenario so you have to wonder where the club can actually go? It's not just NUFC, it's everyone.

That was horrific to read, got to be a mag mirror writer who wrote that load of sh*te! Funny how they left out the parts like Punch Horses, wreck their own stadium, wreck their own city, disrupt amateur football games and wreck the goalposts, violence, protests outside their owners shops, have a funeral for a stadium name, threaten their owner every game, threaten to walk away if their overated manager walks, wish their owner was the one who died in the Leicester helicopter crash, compare their situation with Martin Luther Kings protests in the 60's. This is not all mags of course and I may of forgotten some more things the idiots have done but the actions of these idiots would scare off any potential buyer in my opinion, they are not the club they still believe they were in the 90's and very far from it, even with money wor Rafa would waste a lot of it on average players! He spent 15m on Scharr and Muto combined, wtf have they done, they terrible! Only good signing he made was their keeper for 4m.
