In light of recent events (with the Durham Uni student jailed for life in the UAE) it suddenly struck me that this may be a bit of an unfortunate link.

Personally speaking, with everything the Emirates seem to stand for these days, especially the Man City stuff, I think I’d rather we didn’t have to rely on their blood money.

Like most things in the world, those with money and power are utter silly sossidges and we have to respect them.

You look at the alternatives who throw money at sport and its breweries, betting companies and money lenders. I would much prefer Emirates to Bet365 or Fosters (again)

Oh aye, paying money to a beer company is much worse than a country that abuses people through neglecting their human rights

You receive money from them. ;)

You just have to accept that no matter whereabouts the money comes from it is most likely to be due to causing harm to someone somewhere.

And you've arrived at that conclusion, based on what evidence?

He was writing a dissertation about military-civil relationships in the UAE after the Arab Spring. That's a touchy subject and why he's been imprisoned.

Looks a wrongun

Naturally I am just speculating and trying to be controversial, probably a nice lad
