What would happen (in reality) if war broke out today

We had a similar conversation walking back from the remembrance parade on Sunday.
I wonder how many of the dead we were remembering on Sunday didn’t have a choice to be brave or not? Not just British forces but across the board.
My granda was called up, didn’t want to go like most of the poor buggers. My nana was pregnant with my dad and off he pops to Burma and never to return. A 30yr old bloke leaving behind his world. He wasn’t alone and my dad growing up with no dad, he wasn’t alone either.
The conversation with ower lass went along the lines of, we are now told in our lives to ask questions, why do we want to do that, what evidence do we have and we are now told to get justification on everything before we do stuff. This is something that my dad said to me that few did when he was growing up and if a “grown up”said for you to do it, you did.
My generation doesn’t follow those rules anymore and kids generation don’t either.

With all the little crying fannies we’ve managed to create over the past 30 years? We’d surrender after 5 minutes because they’d need a safe space.
This.

I'm also not convinced we're not fighting wars in the cyber sector anyway.

I'd be stunned if anything like we've seen previously ever happened again tbh.

Who are we fighting? If its untrained opium poppy farmers with lever action rifles and explosives made of goat shite and we have attack helicopters, nuclear submarines, assault and dmr rifles, tanks, apcs and missile equipped drones it should be piss. Back by Christmas.
Like what Russia said about Afghan and the yanks said about Vietnam? Oh, and we believed about IS
