In the last 5 years newcastle have spent £260m compared to Bournemouth's £160m - in the last 3 it's £128m compared to £113m.

I didn't know the exact figures but for such a small random comparison there was obviously something amiss. The problem is so many people actually buy into the Ashley anti-christ line. I think Rafa is going to start getting questioned more now though and someone will produce alternative figures to back it up.
