All of this is far too difficult and sad to even try to express in words. RIP.

Janey, make sure you do what I'm sure your a dad would want you to do, and look after yourself. You are in my and lots of other people's thoughts.

You’re a good un Janey. One of my favourite posters on here. You were lucky to have each other there was clearly an amazing connection. Sorry to hear the sad news

Sorry to hear about your loss Janey but please console yourself in the knowledge that there was no way your dad couldn't have understood just how much you loved him - what you managed to arrange with SD & Co was beyond special.

Now be there for your mum, who'd been with him for longer than you had.

Sorry to hear of your loss Janey but for both you and your dad it gets to a stage where it's kinder to say goodbye.

My dad died 9 years ago after a long deterioration with Parkinson's. He gradually lost mobility and by the end even speech, till the person he had become wasn't my dad any more.

He had a lot of good experiences though, including seeing a few matches at the SoL, which he loved, despite being an Accrington fan.

I still think about my dad every day and talk about him a lot....we shared a love of sport, and for not spending money !

Your dad is at peace @janey ....it's difficult at first but you sound like you had a fantastic loving relationship and are left with lots of great experiences which will mean he's always with you and in your thoughts.

I am happy not sad when I think of my dad, and am sure you will be the same.
Well said marra. God bless you.
