Sir Bob Mortimer

It was so good. Closer to Monkman and Seagull than The Trip TBH. The Trip went dark...
Love Bob and Athletico Mince has moments of utter genius but the fishing programme is not in the same league as The Trip for me.

The Kiss the Alderman thing is off his podcast. Some of the stories he comes out with on it are unreal, literally.
ROBERT!! ROBERT!!!!

I met him in The Empire (Sugar Shack) on a Friday night in the mid 90s when I was off my chump.
He was standing there, smoking a cigar with a load of birds and completely in character turned round, pullung a funny, squinty eye face and said (in a Chicago Gangster voice) "have you met my friends" - pointing to the birds. Then just turned round and carried on with his chat.

A naturally funny bloke

Saw him & Vic Reeves on a panel show once & there was another guest on who was hilarious and had the audience in stitches. Everyone was laughing. Everyone.

Except the 2 lads who were absolutely seething that someone else was getting the laughs. I thought a bit less of them after that. & I'm sure they'll be gutted when they read this.

Very good on Taskmaster when they had questions to ask the mayor of somewhere or other to get info to do a song for her. His first question was "Can I strike you?" and his song was "Rosalind is a f***ing nightmare."
I was going to post something similar, very good on taskmaster both solo and with the other contestants.
