They were hardly there from 7pm to 6am, man.

I don’t think you can stifle those for fighting for what they believe in. Maybe if there had been a concerted fans movement while you were dropping two divisions it may not have happened. Do you consider those who did the 1% sit in on Wall Street the other year deserving of ridicule?

I don’t see much widespread ridicule from other supporters (outside of Sunderland) and the media on this fwiw. The tone is starting to shift a little in the media too
 
Sunderland fans not happy with short = vote with their feet, organise fans groups into a coherent, united voice, approach the club to discuss things in a adult manner = owner showing some respect to club and fans, wiping off debt etc.. and selling to new owners who love football, the club, and are breaking boundaries with their public relations = sunderland fans relatively happy despite 2 successive relegations

Newcastle fans unhappy with Ashley = still turning up in their gormless droves, shouting at shops, local councillor bringing it up in Parliament and mispronouncing the managers name, fans abusing owner outside of restaurant and being told to fuck off, plus countless other embarrassing anecdotes = owners more determined to fuck over the fans, no new owners going anywhere near them, fans crying their eyes out despite club being in premier league.

It’s more an adressing of the suggestion that sticking your fingers up at a limited group is fine as long as it’s not every single Newcastle supporter which is crackers.

This new narrative that attendances dipping was only to remove Short from power is hilarious tbf.

He’s gone now so everyone that has that stance can come back now, btw.

Who mentioned anything about 6am? The man turned up in order to wait until Ashley left the restaurant, however long that was going to take. I read in here that was 10pm so I'd consider that all evening if not technically all night, wouldn't you?

Stabding up for what they believe in and comparing it to Wall Street and the manipulation of markets, leading to people losing their livelihoods and homes? Are you seriously comparing that to a bloke not putting his own money into your football club for you to sign more players?

quantity has fuck all to do with it. he left a restaurant and was abused in quite close quarters by a group of people. forget about football, as a human being, he is allowed to react.

Ashley not selling the club is down to his position on the asking price and wanting to recoup his investment.

If someone or a consortium match what he's after then he'll sell.

Protests wont alter this.
