Fuck of marra
0-0 or losing by a goal - last few minutes, crowd gets behind you don’t know what could happen.
All performers perform better to a crowd.

Imagine watching a band or a show, and it gets to the last few minutes or the encore, and the whole place evacuates like a fire drill (that was what it was like today on 85 and 90 minutes).
Imagine what sort of performance you’d get.

Think what it does to the players , fans leaving.

It’s often said fans can be an extra man. Why’s this?

In our case an extra man for the other team.

Is it the same at other clubs though....especially when they're on a bit of a roll results wise? I'm just wondering if our fans are relatively more likely to leave early than other clubs....what do you think?
I go to more away games than home.
Never seem anything as bad as our f***ing shit support

Btw, left after final whistle, walked to near burton house to get the car, drove to my grans at carville and was there about 5.45.

What the fuck do 50% of our support need to leave so early to get somewhere well before 6 on a Saturday night??

I think it's sad that this happens. Yes some people have genuine reasons why they leave early but I would hazard a guess not as many as actually do leave. This did not used to happed to the extent it does now. I think it's a habit that people have gotten into after years of rubbish and being disheartened. I hope it will change if the team continues to do well but looking at everyone today I'm not so sure it will. As a previous poster I also find it frustrating that people leave there seats but then just congregate between the two tiers. The stewards really need to make more effort to stop this happening for the people that sit in these areas and the people who genuinely do need to leave in a hurry.

Totally agree marra

Why do folk on here feel as though they have to defend themselves over this. If you’ve got a young child who is cold or wants a piss or you have to go to work etc , no one is having a go at you.
It’s those who want to save themselves 10 minutes in their journey home or are desperate to pour another pint down there necks who are letting the team down .
If you have a valid excuse fair enough if not support your team ffs

I genuinely don’t get why so many leave early BUT I’m more annoyed with the people that rock up 10 minutes into the game or 10 mins after half time

Aware it’s been mentioned before on here but the team is 4-1 up, have given everything for us today and people are streaming out with 5-10 minutes to go. Team should be applauded after the graft they’ve put in

People have other stuff to do. Maybe they'll be ignored at the suppoter of the year awards .

I leave my seat on 88 minutes with my boy and usually watch from the tunnel entrance till ref blows.
To me if folk want to leave on 80 minutes or stop till the ground is empty then that’s up to them , doesn’t bother me either way .

At least those that leave early have made the effort to attend. Moreso than some keyboard warriors on here that never leave their room and criticise

It may not bother you but if I was a player who had grafted his nuts off to win a game I’d be well fucked off if ,as today , I went to applaud the fans and all I saw were empty seats and people’s backs.

This type of thread has got to the "bore off" stage
