42 yearold batsman Darren Stevens opening the bowling for Kent with his right arm 73mph wobblers.

Scandalous really.

Marty saying Burnham will be back next year ….. surprised given what has been said on here. Hope he does well though.

That Mike looks ok for Leic …. 20 y.o 2 FC matches 12 wickets and 1 5-fer already!

256-7, Harte again, could do with ripping through them now.

Both comms reckon it’s a 340 pitch that will play better tomorrow.

I haven't watch Steel bowl much this year but compared to last he's lost all control of his lengths.

Like the look of Harte me, handy cricketer it seems but it’s poor craic the lads a novice yet he’s having to bat above Richardson whose been around years & done jack shite but is occupying a specialist batsman role at 6

McCarthy was all over the place. Marty was saying the wind was making it difficult - maybe for him it was as he bowled 6 dead balls in an over due to the wind.

Rushy and Salisbury bowled well and deserved more than they got.

Can't say I'm sure about Harte with bat or ball. Maybe he just needs a run in the side.
He did play well for the century he got though.

From what I saw, he looked very very innocuous.

Again though, that was probably much to do with the force 10 gale he was bowling into. Collingwood and Harte bowled the majority of their overs into the same gale, basically trying to use the other bowlers to attack from the other end.

I do find it odd though that they’ve selected McCarthy over a lad who will be with us next year - unless the club are working on that situation in some way.

It was a strange day of cricket though, pitch looks very good, but the wind in my view made for a very difficult day in the field. It was almost as if there was only one end where wickets could be taken.

Harte needs games basically. Good to see Rimmington dropped.

Incredibly strange comment about a bloke who has pretty much ran himself into the ground for the club this season.

Did he refuse you a jumper or summit?

Nothing strange at all. He was poor last home game, rightly dropped. Well done Lewis. Got my jumper sorted for next week though.

Yea you're right about McCarthy. If the wind is gusting and v. strong the finding a consistent length would be very difficult.
And maybe Steel having the same problem was for the same reason.

I wondered why Colly bowled himself so early, perhaps he recognised the difficulty thinking his slower pace and accuracy would be the best option and Harte is a similar type of bowler.

Colly had Cosgrove on toast, beat both edges, had him bang infront but the umpire didn’t give it.

Rightly dropped for a bloke who won’t be here next season?

Valid point but he was absolutely shit, more than just normal shit. A few folk mentioned it at the time of the game and another user has mentioned it on here.

So exactly the same as Jones against Leicestershire at home then? Which was everyone else’s argument against you?

You can’t have it both ways.

I can. Jones is a young lad learning his trade, deserved more of a chance.

Rimmington is about 36 averaging 55 in the county championship & has had numerous chances.

11 wickets in 167 overs isn't very good
