I’d say maja would have more of an issue with the bloke who said it as oppose to myself and no doubt others who didn’t react to to it.

I have been in pubs, at matches, in dressing rooms etc when comments like that have been made and I can only think of one instance where someone has taken exception and it was an off duty cooper who pulled up an old fella in the club for having a pop at Heskey. It cut no ice with the old fella by the way. Everyone else has been like myself and pretty indifferent to the remarks.

This place is a haven for people painting themselves as picture perfect paragons of virtue.

Given you’re continually labelling me a hypocrite and coward (no idea what I’ve said that makes me any of those by the way) I’ll adk you this. Do you think there’s more chance of these moral crusaders on here pulling up some big hairy arsed bloke for a bit of verbal racial abuse or me sitting and not reacting to it? Not laughing as you’ve tried to claim just ignoring it due to fact it just wouldn’t bother me.

That is not what's happening on this thread. People are offended by a racist comment, you are not offended by a racist comment. It's literally that simple.

It's a simple case of right and wrong. If what was alleged was actually said then it's 100% wrong and racist. There is simply no defending it.

The argument by Jardine has been amusing, he's talking absolute bollocks. I think he knows that as well but his pride won't let him admit it and he's digging himself a deeper hole with every post.

I’m 99% sure he’s not a racist but as usual he goes against the grain to get his kicks out of playing devils advocate/being argumentative. Unfortunately for him it’s not a subject people let go of easily and he’s fucked up, maybe those that know him outside of here will have a different opinion of him after this embarrassment of a thread.

I haven’t fucked up at all and you’re right I’m certainly not racist im just the average bloke who would hear something like this and not really give it too much thought.

I’m guilty of being honest enough to admit it. People have overreacted massively to me not saying a great deal really.

The devils advocate part is me bringing instances of racism in reverse and if you read through the thread there is very little condemnation of that and infact there’s far more of defence mounted for it than I have mounted for the lad who allegedly said this at burton. I haven’t defended him at all I’ve just stated that the comment wouldn’t bother me, I don’t think it would bother that many (not to extent people are going on on here a year) either and people are getting there knickers in a twist far more on here then they would in reality.

A hard nose like @Reiver might well pull someone up for it but I’d wager the vast majority of the outrage brigade on here wouldn’t say a word.

I’m honest enough to admit I wouldn’t either.

There is nothing on this thread that I wouldn’t say in the real world or probably that I haven’t already. I dare say quite a few on here can’t say the same.

I have said nothing racist you idiot. I just don’t see how anyone can get so offended by it. That’s just my opinion.

On reflection perhaps I was a bit heavy handed with my comments regarding people’s reaction (or overreaction) but that was more to do with peoples remarks on here given it doesn’t reflect what I’ve encountered in the real world and that’s socialising with Doctors’s, teachers, solicitors, management etc not just old Bob from the top club in Silksworth.

I disagree I think you have fucked up. You could easily have said he was an arsehole for making racist comments but you wouldn’t say anything to him. But I get the impression you like disagreeing on here to fill your time in, that’s your business but it’s open to ridicule as it’s a pretty crappy way to go on in my opinion.
I’ll be honest I wouldn’t have grassed him up but I’d have shouted him down I’ve done it before to one of ours in the NSU.
