Now I was down the bottom end so didn’t get a good view of it, only seen vids since. However there is absolutely no excuse for either the ref or the linesman not to see anything at all, not even a free kick. The ball bounced in the middle of nowhere, there was nothing else going on and you could see from the moment it bounced one player was going to get hurt. Absolutely astonished that it was deemed legit, it doesn’t have to be deliberate, just reckless. Mind the wanker looked like he does his hair like Clattenburg, so probably wanted to be just as big a twat

It’s indefensible. So bad it’s hard to fathom.

Since Power got sent off, I have seen two worse tackles go absolutely unpunished. Last week the foul, or assault on Matthews as he shepherded the ball out for a goal kick and this one. I didn’t think Powers was a sending off, so I can’t say that these were, then again they are the same rules so no excuse really, but to go unpunished is incredible. Christ they scored from a free kick when their bloke fell over as he was on a run.

Could have been much worse i suppose. He already makes brett angel look like linford christie, if he'd had a bad acl injury and lost a yard of pace on return he'd look like he was running back in time

yes m8 sadly I agree maybe we'll see that young Nelson lad he's supposed to be a big strong boy who can hold it up
Maybe. Depends how he’s developing. He supposedly did ok at Falkirk but I’ve not heard much about him since then tbh.
We do need to be a bit more savvy with the teams in this league tho. We’ve been suckered a few too many times up to now.

The question has to be asked, why wasn't he sent off? If he was leading with his gloves, fair enough, but he has his foot high and studs showing. It's a shocker.

I'll add, I also think keepers should be sent off if they go to punch out the ball, miss it and connect with the opposition player as it should be considered as serious dangerous play. I never understand how they always get away with this.
Because for some reason keepers were and to a certain degree still are an endangered species with special dispensation. They get away with a lot more than a normal outfield player does!

With Wyke will have to be careful. Seems a common one for him and he is a very heady set lad .
Absolutely- though I think the mechanism of this injury doesn’t suggest an inherent weakness: just bad luck he got whacked on the same knee.
