Racist away fans (again)

As an earlier mentioned poster said , words to the effect , the word monkey is not racist but calling a black person, or insinuating is. My user name is what it is because I come from Hartlepool. Taken from local folklore. It is highly likely it didn't even happen! According to maritime records no French warship or merchant man floundered off the Hartlepool coast during that era. The nearest French POW's were incarcerated at Fencehouses and worked on Houghton cut.

I suspect it's more he's a perfect example of someone brought up in a monoculture. While are higher minority populations in the North East now than when I was growing up (I didn't meet or chat socially with any Afro-Caribbeans or Asians until I was at university), the proportion is still far lower than in almost any other metropolitan area. What that can result in is unthinking racism born of lack of exposure to other cultures, and, more particularly, a lack of awareness of what is offensive to minority populations. Of course, in some other areas, it can lead to an informed racism as exemplified by the EDL, where the racism is as a result of encouragement to believe that minorities are either becoming majorities or are in some way favoured by "the system"; this, to my mind, is more offensive.

The "pit village" references were totally clunky, by the way (not that it was you who made them). I don't believe for one moment that they're a hot bed of racism. What is possible, though, is that someone with those attitudes might not be called out for it in the same way as they would in a more cosmopolitan environment.

It’ll take about 5 minutes to flick through my content from this thread. Even someone of limited intelligence as yourself should be able to manage that.

Given its so conclusive that I’m a racist it should take you minutes to find something to back up your accusations.

The thing is you can’t as there’s nothing to find.

You’re basically saying you don’t find racist behaviour offensive which means you condone it regardless of its history or the impact it could have. The only reason it has largely gone from modern society is that people didn’t condone it, called it out and tackled it. The idiot with the banana comment committed a racist offence which is arrestable - and sackable in any workplace. You’ve made an absolute prat of yourself on here today and the constant mention of ‘blacks’ / ‘whites’ in your posts and the obsession with ‘sides of the fence’ really does suggest a racist outlook.

I find people’s opportunitues being prejudiced due to skin colour bang out of order.
I find a comment about a banana fuck all.
It seems you struggle with comprehension in regards to my ‘sides’ point so I’ll just leave that there.
I like how you totally ignore the fact I said there is zero difference between blacks and whites.
