I don't know what the rest of social media is like (Twitter etc) but the majority of the comments I've read on the Chronicle are hammering Benitez. Not just for his selection yesterday but their approach to all the games this season and his signings in the window. Maybe the tide's turned?
It’s definitely showing a sign of turning on Twitter, some completely critical, some seem to want to criticise but are still not quite willing to.
Some still firmly in the Cult.

Edit there is definitely some divide and conquer as well between those that support the protests and those that don’t. And those that think the actual games should be boycotted

I really think you lot need to be concentrating on your own issues rather than obsessing about some people have posted on twatter.

With the hand dealt Benitez is doing a good job. You don't have to be a genius to predict the results we've had so far. You don't have to be a genius to work out that with the run of 'easier games' coming up that a full strength side will do ok but injuries and suspensions could make life very uncomfortable. The investment in the squad is determined by the owner. He's content to survive and make money for himself. This policy will continue until someone else owns it or supporters stop renewing. They will not stop renewing.

TBF Rafs has already got them boycotting the ball in the matches.

Bournemouth spent fuck all
Sitting 5th.

Thought we were shite yesterday like. Conceded a goal and heads dropped. Seemed to be a lack of effort imo. Hayden and Diame in the centre was a poor choice as well. Worst performance of the season for me. Everything was bad about yesterday.

I’m not really sure how good/bad Hayden has been for you, but it was madness not letting him go in the summer, when he put a transfer request in. It rarely ends well when a player doesn’t want to be at a club.

Think it was for personal reasons he wanted to move down south rather than footballing reasons, remember Benitez saying we will help him as much as we can. He has been ok. Relatively solid defensive midfield squad player. Does the simple things well, but not much more. Not much creativity in a midfield with Diame and Hayden.

Great to hear, have a like

Thanks, that means a lot.

They did OK first half but were out of it the second.

Which do you reckon has the shortest odds this term?

Newcastle to stay in PL ?

Or Sunderland to go up to Div 1 ?

It's been a poor start for us no doubt . The fact that we've played 4 of the top 6 in our first 5 matches obviously has a bearing - but a poor start nonetheless which needs to turnaround soon.

I must say though, Sunderland are not convincing me that they are going to be there at the death.
