It's absolutely embarrassing and I hear it all of the time. Those undercurrents are felt by the players and whilst it's easy to blame money for players not wanting to come North, I can help but think there's still a perception of Sunderland as a club. We need to be careful. I want us to be seen as a progressive, modern club as opposed to Brexit voting knuckle draggers.

That's the diplomat in me.

The other side of me can't help but laugh at the irony; most of the rascist remarks I hear come from absolute **** faced numbskulls without an ounce intelligence.

But insinuations made towards Rooney and Bale for looking like monkeys/chimps (which have happened in past) are just brushed to one side. Wonder why :rolleyes:

Black people aren’t behind white people on the evolutionary scale, nobody seriously believes that.

It’s anothing remark which society has brainwashed people into believing is bile/vile/disgusting etc etc.

When a black person makes a racist remark I can’t think of one black persons who has came out to express his outrage on behalf of white people, not one.

f***ing terrible someone would say that, but I go to about 10 away games a season and have never ever heard any racist undertones.

Who could have predicted this? "Oh if it doesn't offend you why get upset?" - does the concept of a minority confuse you?

If my group is too small that all of us being upset or offended means we can't create any change then guess what, we need people to support us and point out how what is happening is not ok and is offensive.

What's unreasonable about that?

A) still allowed to spread his obnoxious views on this forum

B) still making money off the name Sunderland AFC

C) hasn't been shunned by every person who is involved with Sunderland AFC and its history.
