His figures of with and without gloves are distorted by his first appearance on scene, he is a different player now. Having a poor run but so is Root and quietly Ben Stokes as well.

Yes they are as I’ve just told you.

Never been a top 5 player yet batted there his whole career! Root back at 4 today and failed again as well. Sometimes it isn’t the number they bat but fact they are having a bad run.

Take gloves off Bairstow as it’s becoming a sideshow now.
 
after this test finishes will the likes of root, stokes, Bairstow play county cricket, to get back in form for the winter?

or will that be too much to expect? They'll need three months rest, then will be excused in Sri Lanka as will have played no cricket before?

oh and well played modern on his 50 and another ten grand out of mucky joggers pockets

won't happen. They will play one game against a boys team, score 40 odds, then retire out and we will be six down for a 100 first test.

the usual will be said about the length of time, since they played a proper innings and it rolls on
