What do you mean exactly ?

Its hardly guess work now is it ?

- as we know the previous years turnover and costs - and we know exactly what the TV monies for a club finishing in 10th position

Fact is the profits are rolling in -

If Fat Mike is taking that to pay off his initial debt - why doesn't he simply make that clear ?
He's going to use the money to buy Poundworld instead of paying off the debt.

despite the lack of ambition from the fat one.

This word 'ambition' gets used a lot but is never quantified. Please explain what this means because all I hear is Mags saying that you don't expect to ever be in the top six....

And you'vealrwady finished 10th....so would spending another £200m to finish in one of the 3 spaces above this be good enough and ambitious enough?

Seems like a waste of money to me.

What do the mags on here make of benitez signings the last 2 seasons ?
Very poor overall. Bought some absolute crap and the big money on the likes of Murphy, Muto et al is not working at the moment and I wouldn't trust him with a huge wad of cash personally. Still, he has the backing of myself and the crowd for now, but the cracks are starting to show. We've played three out of our four games against teams nailed on to finish top six, so no panic yet.

Gerrin Charlie lad hes got them chomping :lol:

Charlie Methven has a dig at Rafa Benitez and David Moyes as he explains why hired Jack Ross this summer

I reckon they have a squad as good as 7-8 others in the premier league and a better manager than all of the rest. Underperforming to say the least
So you're judging the PL clubs achievements after 4 games?

Bit early don't you think.

Perhaps I'll judge Sunderland in the same way and say you're failing in the promotion race ?

Is it not just a case of that they have a decent manager, a squad that will not frighten anyone but at the same time should be nowhere near relegated who have had a tough set of fixtures to start but should be fine once they settle into a run against the lesser teams?

13th would be my prediction.

On a wider note I'd say 95% of clubs of the 92 are in a worse position when you take into account debts, league position, state of the facilities/need of a new ground, revenue generation etc.

In other words there is absolutely nothing significant to protest about every single season other than they haven't got a Middle East royal family owning them and the current owner is running it as a business like 99.9% of English clubs now.
We had the ground , the fan base , the facilities etc long before Ashley moved in.

He's not taking credit for any of that.

Can I suggest that you are looking at us from a 'glass half full' perspective .

Perhaps because your glass is drained to the bottom.?

If you like. You should have more than a point. You've underperformed so far
And SAFC ?

We've dropped points in 2 games. Luton we were fair game. Poor defending. Saturday we were pathetic and could and should have lost. My concern is we've came from a goal down on 4 occasions. We won't keep winning doing that but I'm positive we'll sort it. We have more points than I thought by now.
