Loved Gus in his prime. 8-53 in Port of Spain in '98 was brilliant. Always looked knackered before he'd even bowled a ball:lol:

Garbage bowler, couldnt bat, couldnt field, 78mph medium pace but his consistency probably got him more game time than a lot of other more dynamic bowlers of the era ie Chris Lewis, Devon Malcolm, even Simon Brown.

Bit harsh. He was far quicker before his injury, but in the era of Malcolm, Lewis, Lawrence, McCague, Illott and Holliakes he offered something that none of the others could........control. His height gave him bounce. He was a olden days McGrath - didn't move it much off the seam, but he hit the same spot every time
