Not sure it was. I want to see ball-tracking. It's hitting, but I think it might have been Umpires Call on the line - and the on-field signal was not out.
Comfortably hitting, he was looking at ultraedge as the ball went past the bat, ignoring the bat on pad at the bottom. If you watch it in real time you can see ball missing bat. It was a monumental fuck up.

Bad 5 mins for the umpires as that Curran one didn't look out and he gave it.[/QUOTE]

Absolutely mate, just not going to claim to know who the best options are, as can't watch that much CC now. So not really fair for me to say

Our middle order was sorted though and we disrupted it to try and solve the top order issues, its not the right way to go

I feel sorry for Bairstow and Root, they were settled in their roles and scoring big runs, and were forced up the order due to some macho bullshit

Let them play where they are world class, and let the selectors earn their money and find some players

This is the problem though. Surely its the only way to go if you haven't got anyone good enough to play in positions 1,2 nd 3 the most difficult places to bat? Root has still averages 40 at 3 and 52 at 4. In a perfect world its better for him to be batting 4 but not at the expense of playing a nugget above him?

It’s absolutely not the way to go mate.

He won’t be batting at 3 again for England

He’s our best player, why we shoved him to 3 no idea

Decisions like that can cost matches, wot a twat.

I’m more annoyed as he just rushed it

He genuinely didn’t notice his bat had hit it

Of course you have an idea you are a sensible lad. He was shoved up to 3 because he is our best player and we don't have players good enough in 1,2 and 3 if he doesn't. If you have no one batting at 123 worthy of the name your number 4 is in during the first 10 overs anyway completing nullifying the benefit of being a 4 to a 3.

I don't like the idea of 'feeling sorry' for Root and Bairstow, they are class players and should just get ion with it. Often Root's weaker scores at 3 are down to him not converting which again is nothing to do with batting 3 or 4.

Playing your best player out of position is ridiculous

Imagine us shoving KP up to 3

It’s ridiculous logic

Your best player plays at 4.

His form has plummeted
