First the positives...it was another lovely day weather wise.

Back in the old days Harry Brind would have been docking us 25pts for that pitch today...I lost count of the number of grass cutters and it turned Luke Procter into Mike Procter.

Salisbury bowled well again (my nomination for player of the season) and Rushy was desperately unlucky especially when Richardson dropped Wakely first ball then Lees did the same next delivery...he went on to make 60 which will probably be the match winning innings.

Once again we leaked loads of runs to the vacant Third Man position and I think sadly Colly should call it a day now and get Lees to take over the reigns.

Probably the poorest days play I've seen this season in the Championship at home ....and for the record I've seen them all!!:D
Marty on the wireless reckoned both those were on the bounce though I couldn't tell.

You used to slag off a much better player was the point
26 average for someone who bats at 5/6 isn't too bad in my opinion. As for Stoneman never felt he kicked on when at Durham. He's averaging 20.92 in the county championship this season as of this morning (yes i'm aware he's doing well in this round of games). Comparing an opener and a lad who bats at 5/6 is hideous though. Hasnt done a great deal for a while at Surrey either.

I wasn't directly but crack on

Judging by the reaction of the two fielders in question and Rushy in particular I'm not so sure but I'll bow down to Marty's expertise.
I saw the first one as a drop and the second one as falling short but I was a fair way off.

Getting some work done on my house so lent my ticket to my mate off here

Sounded like a hard day

You’ll not be doing any work I bet

So why did you do it? Cause Chops wasn’t making that comparison - you’ve just taken the argument that way to suit your agenda. Absolute politicians response from you on the subject. Get asked one question, answer a completely differently question.

I take your point on board and wil thoroughly investigate any potential ramifications to thr contrary but I stand by my point that Jack Ross is doing a tremendous job.
