The Martin Report - Cricket on FTA TV

That is actually a cracking idea - sky & FTECB need to be aware that by not showing anything on terrestrial TV cricket itself might not have a future. If less kids are getting into the sport at some point this will effect the professional game as no fucker will be playing it!

The broadcasters and FTECB need to get their heads together to come up with a plan and this idea sounds like a good one.

Great idea. Market it as "Festival Cricket"

And in Rugby Union there are the England vs Barbarian games …. very popular.

and in the old days everyone used to watch TV the full day on FA Cup final day …. the build up was almost as important as the game itself.

Yea, do it and make a thing of it.

Never gonna happen, that actually makes sense and would be brilliant for the game.

Sky have voluntarily released in-play clips to the BBC for the last two summers to appease the ECB/ raise the awareness of the product so stranger things have happened.

The best time to force it through has just passed though.

The Lords Test is usually the first Test of the series. What better way for Sky to advertise the rest of it and sell a few subscriptions, without pissing off cricket fans who already pay?
