Broad has been picked consistently for over ten years and consequently has 427 wickets. That does not make him "one of the best of all time". He actually has very similar average and strike rate to Dominic Cork.
Take Simon Jones, good bowler and a shame he was crippled with injury but 58 wickets and 3 5-fers cannot compare to all the wickets Broad has and he has 16 5-fers and 2 10-fers.
