As much as those two are tossers, its amazing how the rest of the world can see what our imbecilic friends can't.

Its mad isnt it? They are insistent that they are being hard done by. Yes its not absolutely ideal but what they dont realise is, if Ashley went they could get a Short or worse. It could take us at least 5 years to get to a stableish Premier League level- theyve got it and they arent happy.

It’s incredible how much they’ll defend Rafa. I’ve not seen anything like it in football, probably ever.

The funny thing is when you break it down he used to manage Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid once upon a time. In mag logic they think having Rafa as manager puts them toe to toe with those kind of clubs on the size radar. They were spells last season where the mags would have wanted any manager in the world other than Rafa out of the door. Even Pardew out achieved the great Rafa at Newcastle. A 5th place finish and no relegation.

They are still taking Ashley to task over this "Rafa, can have every penny this club generates" thing, without stopping to think that Rafa has had every penny that the club have generated. And continues to do so. Its just that their perception of generated income is way, way removed from the reality of what the actual generated income is.

He was wrong about Liverpool.
A lot of fans couldn't stand rafa regardless of his record.

And the mags ffs, they get worse every season.

40 years of hurt
Sunderland on my shirt
Never stopped me dreaming
Win the league, the feeling ? :D

I'm an old fart now and the dream of winning the league is fading but i have resigned myself to the memories i have of a great club with the best supporters.

I just want to get the message across how great it is for us to be winning again , battering teams even, regardless of the league.

Fancy dress and party time years ago when we were relegated.
Don't expect success, hope for it, but enjoy the trying.

Don't be like bitter mags.
We are better than that. Rise above.

:D

Agreed with Keys comments then and agree with these now. I like Shearer as a pundit but he had the nerve to have a go at Mourinho for moaning and he told him to get on with the job  yet championing Rafa doing exactly the same thing. Rafa does not get the blame and the Newcastle fans should stop fawning over someone who frankly is not worth it as the club will be here long after he storms off without yet again achieving anything of note.

Benitez has the perfect job.

  • One of the highest paid managers in world football.
  • The local press won't dare question him
  • The fans worship the ground he walks on
  • If Newcastle win it's down to his genius, if they lose it's because of Mike Ashley
  • He understands
I know that FMA is hardly flavour of the month/year/decade up there but one of the comments about not trying in the cups how can that be Ashley's fault? Is that not down to Rafa? I divvint undastaaand tbh??

Maybe Rafa should of used some of those world class managerial skills to get them out of the Championship on the cheap rather than spending 50 million to do it. Would probably be able to spend a bit more now.
This. Ironically a bloke who they turfed managed it and almost won the title.

I am expecting a melt down from our Newcastle friends when Rafa leaves & Mike Ashley better not set foot in St James Park as they will demand he sells up.....that’s when the fun starts....
Personally I’d rather he caved to the demands of the Geordie nation and gave Benitez a couple hundred million to challenge for the title. He’s largely shite in the transfer market. He managed to spend nearly 250 million at Liverpool which was largely wasted. Never gets mentioned though as the fans hated the then owners. The deluded fuckers would still blame Ashley for ruining the club financially.

£120 million later they’re still no further forward.

They will go down this season, Rafa won’t sign a new contract and I am looking forward to the staging of more gatherings outside sports shops.
