Fuck me, didn't even know they were playing that's how much the U23s mean to me (and I guess most of us).

Good win for them nevertheless mind.

The only thing that remotely concerns me about that match is how absolutely shocking some of our first team contenders were. Hume Robson Embleton and Molyneux had shockers. I don’t know who is coaching them but he should be getting more than that out of the lads.
Oh and

That is the most concerning are they Billy big Bollox's now they're near the first team ?

Wouldn't go overboard but it's a good win for them. I'd rather we'd won 5-0 than lost 5-0.
Perfectly put. We'd be taking the piss if we'd won 5 v 0.To say we wouldn't is nonsence, and attempting to convince people that the result is 100% irrelevant is also nonsense.Any victory against the mugs is welcome.

Slightly off topic here - did we get loyalty points for a purchasing a ticket?

Bought three but didn’t go for one reason or another, never been to St. James for a game minus the olympics.

Sound like the youngsters had a bit of a mare but it’s all a learning curve.

Bet they would have rather kenedy scored his penalty in the last minute against Cardiff for 3 vital points in the premier league than win a reserve game against us 5 nowt

Even the official twitter account hailed it as a “memorable night”. Oh how the mighty have fallen when an Under 23 win is considered a memorable night

Pre match the Sunderland official twitter account couldn’t bring themselves to say Newcastle United and preferred the moniker ‘Them’.
What goes around comes around eh ?

Sunderland were pathetic.
Total embarrassment to their families.

Ah not this boring shite again. If we’re talking about ‘class’ and ‘karma’ let’s talk about the songs Newcastle played after the 5-1 win aimed at Bruce, the chants towards Johnson and Cattermole. The ‘what goes around comes around’ and ‘karma’ mantra is absolute bollocks where your club is concerned. You’ve dished every bit as much, if not more, about Sunderland as we have you. I’ve witnessed ‘we’ll meet again’ and ‘worst team in history’ and ‘get your season tickets now’ chants long before we started dishing out to you about your relegations.

Get off your high horse.

Both clubs are as bad as each other.

Sad, we beat Tottenham U23's or they beat us and no one cares. Obsessed are Newcastle fans because they're a smaller club with no trophies.
