What an awful game that was.

Ok, the sending off meant they had to be cautious for last half hour but even then, why not replace the donkey Joselu with Rondon ?
Cardiff will certainly go down as they have very little quality, whilst the shopshouters won't be far off them.

The last Newcastle substitution was made about 5 minutes after the red card.
Rondon was begging Benitez not to put him on. Terrified of playing on Sky apparently.
The Murphy one was more urgent imo as Ritchie was struggling and we'd went three at the back.

Let's be honest here your starting 11 should have beat that Cardiff team as it was f***ing awful. You won't get many easier away games this season if any.
It was a poor team performance and benitez needs to take some of the blame like you would blame any other manager in the past for that type of performance

Completely agree, he should have started Rondon but Joselu probably earned another shot after scoring last week (as bad as that sounds). I think we'll see Fernandez in next week.

Don't even know how kenedy stayed on as long as he was shocking all game should have been subbed 10 mins in to second half
The alternatives aren't much better tbf (normally involves Murphy coming on and Ritchie moving across to the left). In hindsight we'd have been fucked with Hayden being sent off too.

They might not have been much better but surely when a player is playing as awful as kenedy was its worth changing it and seeing if the sub can make a better impact. You were playing Cardiff who will finish bottom benitez should have been braver instead of keeping a player on who was having a mare
Also is this the Murphy that benitez signed for 12 million if he's shite why did he buy him ?

It was £10m iirc which is buttons these days for your run of the mill footballer (especially English)

For all as bad as Kenedy was, he's still more capable of making something from nothing than Murphy is. Granted he was more of abomination the more the game went on but that's looking in hindsight, I'd have kept him on too.
