Is there an offence called "making a back" or "not jumping" ? Free kicks often awarded for it. Seems to me that if a player just stands and doesn't jump for a ball, the player mounting him from behind gets a free kick.
I've never understood it.

I'm not sure. There was a free kick given in the scum today for it. Didn't see it just heard it on radio. Anderson said it was for making a back as the bloke hadn't made an attempt for the ball

Newcastle player jumped at the Cardiff players back and the Cardiff player stood there and the Newcastle player fell over.
Aye Lascelles absolutely flew into and over the top of the Cardiff forward, never a foul in a millions years. Penalty to Cardiff if anything
