Lets see how the season pans out, how can we write him off after a couple of games in a new league and new team?



It didnt stop me judging Osturk either, I said he was poor tonight.

Im not writing him off. He wont be nor has he ever been a great centre half. At this point in his career he isnt even a good centre half.

Nobody is writing him off but his decision making is terrible & he doesn't look comfortable with a football. That one today where he passed to them then stepped out and dove in to win it (and didn't get there) just summed it up. He posesses no attributes that I can see that would lead him to be a great CB. Doesn't look dominant either, looks like he's 2 stone overweight!

We were excellent for 30 mins. Passed it well, movement was excellent off the ball, looked like we had a style and just needed a goal. Then the useless knacka gifted them a goal and we lost our energy.

Second half they improved and it was more level. Thought they maybe shaded it.

We were crying out for a striker mind. Lots of balls went astray and crosses had nobody even challenging or committing defenders in towards their own goal. I feel we would have had much more threat with a proper CF like Wyke for example.

Quality of the cross wasnt there but tbh wouldnt have made a difference as no striker getting into key areas anyway....Some of the dead balls were top draw.

It wasnt too slow in the final third at all, we played straight through them with excellent passing time and again, particularly in the first half.

Ozturk was Ross's first signing, he has watched him many times in Scotland and knows a lot more about him than any of us....Do you honestly think you are a better judge of a footballer than Jack Ross and what we have seen so far is the best of Ozturk....(Oh please say yes)

Your comments regarding me having played football at a decent level are great as you are coming across as one of those fans who cannot see beyond the final score or what actually happened in the game.

When even the commentators are telling you that we are dominating the game and our approach play etc has been excellent then you must be some kind of stupid to not be able to see it.

Cattermole did play well mind. Still hope he goes. We are going to blow a lot of teams away at home this season, my fear is away from home as we will get bullied from first minute to last. Power was the second best player on the pitch behind Bannan too, he will prove to be a class signing. Baldwin was also very good.

It's a worry like especially if he comes in and plays games (don't think we'll see him like).

Can play all the good football but if you can't defend a ball going into the box and are going to make basic mistakes at the back it's going to kill us. Killed us last year anarl but at least this year McLaughlin looks confident coming for the ball.

We started with no recognised striker and played that way for 60+ minutes.

Our approach play, pace, desire and interpassing was at times superb and we played Wednesday off the park for long periods......At one point in the second half we had 85% possession.

Hugely impressed with a number of players

Keeper, gonna put this out there that if we had had a keeper of this quality last season we would still be in the Championship, that is how badly we were managed.

Power looks superb, strolled through this game and did everything right.

Baldwin looks a class act.

McGuire is a right handful and is going to cause some real damage when he has strikers to provide for. Some questioned his performances and desire last season but he is proving that his form at Oxford was not a fluke

We have a crop of youngsters who are easily able to compete at this level....Some cracking footballers who are able to fit into Ross's high energy style of play and all will benefit from games like this......Many are currently squad players but they proved tonight that they are more than adequate.

Best have seen Cattermole for a long long time (still not worth the wage and hope that tonight will prompt interest)

We played cracking, high pressure football with at times sublime interpassing and arguably our best players are not in the team yet.

If this was a show of the way the players are adapting to Jacks style of play then I suspect there are some teams in league one going to be in for a tonking this season. Gonna put it out there that with a target man/striker partnership in there tonight we would have won that game at a canter.

Downside Osturk but not going to judge too quickly, has the attributes and physical presence to make a great centre back, will undoubtedly improve as the weeks go by and lets be honest he is not going to be playing while the first choice lads are fit.

All in all, another good night, starting to really see what Jack is trying to do and why his St Mirren side were seen as being so impressive.

I think it says something when the fans who stayed till the end clapped the players off, down to the hard core who really appreciated the effort.

I am cutting Ozturk some slack as the striker clearly clipped his heels, if he'd went down he would have got a free kick.

Sunday is massive but with Maja, Gooch, Loovens, Mumba and Oviedo all to come back into the starting line up I think we will win.

Alright was exaggerating 2 stone but his body shape isn't one of a top professional athlete. He's just not powerful, quick or imposing. Looked like he had a right kite when he modelled the new kit too.

We have some proper melts "support" this club mind.
