Turned down a couple of freebie invites from friends to the Rose Bowl this season. I'd have been shouting the other team on so it looks like I've missed out.

Went to watch safc play portsmouth a fair few years back and saw a big cricket ground from the train. genuinely didn't know which ground it was.
Years later i went to watch durham play there, what a shit soulless ground it is.

Shit location too. Nearest train station is Botley I think which is a canny hike and on a branch line. Even when there's a big game there's nee extra trains put on.

How they have 5 World Cup games next year is a complete headscratcher to say the least. Last Test they had was against India 3 or 4 years ago and that was half empty even on the Saturday IIRC.
Didn't it start on a Tuesday or Wednesday though?

You're not actually suggesting that he's using his wealth and connections to influence the scheduling of major international fixtures are you?
Not quite but newer test grounds like The Rose Bowl and Cardiff should be under more scrutiny as 8 test grounds is too many IMO. Should just be the main 6 plus Cardiff as a reserve just incase.
