Congratulations to the lads on reaching the final of The Second XI Championship against Essex which is to be played at The Riverside over 4 days commencing Tuesday Sept 4th.

Let's hope the weather gets back to its former glorious self as there's going to be a canny bit of cricket to get through in the forthcoming weeks!

Great news - should be able to get down to see some of this too.

The future is bright lads ;)

Finals of the 2nd xi T20 and finals of the 2nd xi 4 day championship..... Would be nice to see these lads rewarded with some red ball 1st xi action. Fair to say they have earned that opportunity

just because they are doing well enough at that level doesn't mean they should play first team

it does if the incumbent 1st teamers are near the bottom of the 2nd division and individuals not performing. County cricket is about developing players especially at a county like Durham where the academy is vital.

Well lets give some of them a go in the last few games.
I do hope so, our last win was when we last did so

When the first team are failing as much then those doing well in the 2nd xi deserve a chance. It's vital we are fair given and give folk every chance to develop. The next few red ball games are peefect
