He’s was excellent a few years ago let’s hope he can get back to his best. Good signing as Steele has struggled massively this season
Just a case of game time for Steel and I'd like to see more of the younger lads given more game time. Hopefully this lad can help and push on at Durham. I do believe Steel will come good though

Does anyone know if Richardson is still injured or is he just being rested from the T20s ?

Played NEPL cricket this weekend mate so I doubt he’s still injured. Expect him to be in the squad for the Glamorgan trip.

Wonder how much of an influence Moxon had on his move North?

I would be surprised if there where not other counties interested in him and if it came down to simply money then I don't think Durham could compete with most counties. There is no doubt though that for a top order batsmen who's career has fallen of a cliff I don't think there is a tougher place than the Riverside to bat and score runs. Perhaps he has gone mad!

With Lees coming in and the emergence of the likes of Harte and Davies, I wouldn't be surprised to see Richardson moving on - I'd imagine he'll be one of the higher earners at the club and his form has been very sketchy this last few seasons.

It has been sketchy. But I always think he’s got a big score in him. Am I right to think he wicket keeps too? Poynter is also not scoring runs either.

I don't reckon we should consider Steel in this, Steel should play. OK he's had a poor season so far in the first half but he's obviously one to persist with.

But what is happening to Latham next year? It sounds like he won't be available or maybe only for part of the time, although I reckon he'd be keen to return as one day captain.

And then there's the no 3 spot. Smith seems to be struggling a bit and Lees could fit in quite nicely there. If Colly goes, Smith could potentially drop down to 4.

Anyway. I reckon Lewis is looking at finding a solution of an opener, perhaps for part of the season to cover for Latham and a replacement for Colly who will retire (prediction).

Easily good enough to be an automatic pick in our side, with potential to be a top class signing. Got to be happy with that.

Could be right especially if richardson wants to keep wicket, he is far more valuable to a team as a batsmen/wicket keeper than as a specialist batsmen. personally got a gut feeling Colly might wrap it, not heard anything though.
