The Mags

Now the mags are in crisis it is interesting how they now are with Sunderland supporters. Whether they will still laugh at our misfortunes. Karma is a bitch. What goes around comes around mags!

We are in the Premier league you are in the 1st division.....Crisis reality check

The way the mags go on you would think they had a squad of championship and league 1 plodders.

They have some good mid table Premier league players like

shelvy, lascelles, dubravka, gayle, Ritchie, ki, Kennedy,

They have some average premier league players like

Yedlin, atsu, diame, perez, Clarke.

Im sure they will make 3 or 4 decent signings before the window shuts. They really go over the top with this doom and gloom after all they finished 10th last season so there's no reason why they can't do OK this season.

They probably haven't got any better of a squad than the likes of Burnley who finished 7th last season

Just out of interest, a quick question for you and other resident mags on here.

If like SAFC, you had the chance to bring in new owners who would totally restructure your club, have your debt wiped out and have a man like Sartori sitting in the wings, but you had to drop 2 divisions for this to happen, would would be happy to take the chance on a potential new beginning, or would you rather stay as you are and continue to live in the hope that someone comes along to buy out Ashley?

No we aren't. We are in League One. But that aside I am sure you are right. I will give credit to you for that. But fact remains is you as much facing financial disaster as we are.

They aren't like, they're one of the best run clubs in the league from a financial point of view

Doubt any club would choose to risk going to league 1 for the chance on a potential for a new beginning.

Could just as easily go tits up, this season won't be a walkover - totally revamped squad with a lot of unknowns, plus we are a massive scalp to be had.

Teams normally sit off bigger clubs and give them too much respect allowing them to play, I feel we won't get that respect but we will find out for sure on Saturday

I think it’s a tough question to answer, though probably easier for Sunderland as we were in such a terrible state in our final year in the Premiership. We were going absolutely nowhere, laden with debt, rotten core, etc.. and best we could have hoped for was bottom half to mid table mediocrity.

I’m really looking forward to our new beginning and fairly optomistic about the future now. Watched us in the 3rd last time and joy of winning games totally beats the garbage endured during the two seasons.

Well that being the case, stop f**king whinging and get on with it. You have a “world class” manager, you are a “massive clerb” “everyone’s second favourite team” what’s the problem?

exactly, what's the problem?

At least the theory that this thread will disappear without any Newcastle fan participation has been proven.

Every cloud.

Good question, but obviously would stay as we are in the Premiership if given the choice.Would not want to risk going down to league 2, remember 4 teams go down, 3 go up so no matter what 7 teams will leave league 1 this season, I think you will finish somewhere in the middle, so would I be happy with that for a chance to restucture our club...NO. It's a delicate situation for you, it could be a great season where you win more than you lose, but if you haven't won a game after 6 games what happens then?

and if things were great this pre season and you were signing some quality players you lot would be on here even more than you are now gloating

That will forever be NUFCs problem, their fans.

Burnley have spent a fraction with lesser names. If Dyche was at NUFC and signed those players there fans would never have gave them a chance
