I used to hear the same shite on here when we brought in someone we believed to be on the cheap. Squad players I think we called them. They usually ended up fixtures in the side as that’s where clubs like yourselves and us at the time are and were. You’re kidding yourself if ya think you’d would be spending much more on a full back.

He was going to be cover for Lejuene and Lascelles coming into the squad only when either of those were fatigued.

Then, predictably, one of those two were injured.

because if a player becomes available who is better than you have you buy him to better the side , what part of that do you not understand? we loaned him , it was a no brainer tbf, we have needed a top class striker for a long time, we have bought bit part guys as he needed numbers, this new Japanese player is beyond me and i'm at a loss as to why pay 9.5m for him i dont agree with but im not the boss, Benitez like all managers makes a few mistakes but when you are shopping at low levels its all risky.

anyhoo, FCC intentions are clear, piss the manager off till he fucks off, well he can go fk himself with that, can't be arsed with the circus .

The other might be away yet. Seems like a bit of market for centre backs at the minute. If Maguire goes to Man Utd it might start a bit of knock on effect.
