Hard to see that being true really, but if it is it's bloody ridiculous, and bloody stupid.
While it's always going to be hard to be too sympathetic to mansion dwelling, limousine driving , pampered footballers, a deal has to be honoured. It's why we ended up paying chodders the best part of £20m in wages for bugger all and most clubs have found themselves doing similar.

What about the installments from deals done before last summer? (Sissoko definitely £6m, Wijnaldum and the others that left two years ago I'm uncertain as to the terms). Can we factor those into the sums?
 
I wont argue about how much you think he has had, its widely accepted by most people in football that the investment in the squad is a f***ing joke now, its what we all feel as newcastle fans.

You can if your ambition is to get as high up the league as possible.
I hear what you are saying though, to be fair. Every player has his price, When you do sell though it should be priority to replace said player with someone else, reinvest the money back into the playing staff, not balance the income.

However the flip side is you do need to balance the money.. I dunno, it's not my money that I want spent, But it's not really Ashleys either, money generated via normal running of the club should be plowed back into the club.

Part of the reason they are at the almost stand off they are is down to this. He knows they are blindly following him and that he is blameless. If they looked rationally, they would see that he's going on like a bit of a bairn at present and has spent a fair bit money in the past which has obviously affected this year's budget
