Just slightly off topic but have Safc ever played Wycombe?

Can't remember offhand

Yep. You have to swallow your pride and take the reality of being a "Stepping stone" on the chin.

Look at Wycomb. They seem gutted this lad is leaving but also happy he's kicking on and grateful they had him for a couple of years. Would it be the end of the world if we get to watch players who go on to be world class, even if it means losing/replacing them every couple of years?....especially if we're also raking in inflated fees.
We have done it very recently with Pickford and Henderson, think both went with the blessing of the sensible majority and with an added interest in how they fair in their careers, what we want is 100% commitment whilst here and respect for us when they leave, most realise it's a short career and they have got to take great opportunities when they present themselves.

Don’t know what the problem is, Gateshead like Jarra, is a Co Durham town not a Northumberland one
Too close for comfort mate. What if the poor little bugger gets leprosy or Ebola, or magitis. Gravy fever isn’t out of the question either.

Wonder if he starts on Saturday. I have a feeling McGeouch and Mumba will be the starting pair
