Gardner in league two probably would have looked similar tbf to him.

Me and another Sunderland supporter watched him a fair bit last year at Wycombe and he was arguably one of, if not, the best player for them. Brilliant combative midfielder with exceptional fitness levels. True box to box player that can break up attacks and create down the other end. I think with the right guidance he will become a good Championship player. Got a lot going for him, and he will play for the shirt and get right behind what Sunderland is all about.
