Actually, I think you’ll find that Sunderland fans don’t hate Benitez at all. We just find it amazing that you lot manage to put a man who has achieved less than Pardew, on such a high pedestal, whilst hounding Pardew out of the club.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Benitez has spent millions, plays boring defensive football, relegated the club and refuses to sign a new contract, despite earning around £6m per year and has yet to achieve the level of success Pardew had.

However he was once a big name in football and that’s what you love.
Bang on.

You claim you are stating facts but everything you posted after you made that statement is an opinion.

So Shelvey, mitrovic and mbemba might not be internationals. Perez might not have had a good season in the prem, Colback might not have been a proven championship player?

Chris Hughton inherited half a strong squad built (a bit too hurriedly) by Gus Poyet. What was amazing to me is how CH got the squad promoted with a horrendous injury situation with half of the first XI out all season. And quite a few shrewd decisions like the emergency signing of Duffy because if the injury situation.

What got to me about Rafa and Newcastle was how lucky they were, with decisions and lack of injuries in important games. Ashley should have backed Rafa in the January before they got promoted as even an average amount of injuries would have derailed promotion.

Chris Hughton and Rafa both play a similar, but not identical, style.

Nigel Pearson, the man who nearly got a team relegated who were good enough to win the title with only a couple of additions.

Rafa Benitez (aka the werld class one), the man who took over the European champions and managed to get sacked for being shit then his former team went on to be European champions for the next three years.
