Paul Collingwood is the most decorated Cricketer we've ever had and IMO our best ever player - you'd have stuck with a Scotsman with only one previous First Class game though?

As well as keeping players in who contribute nothing surely you generally bring stronger players back in or like in football play people to suit the style of opposition. If you play on a wicket with a load of grass one week bowl well but then turn up next game and it's going to spin square you bring a spinner in regardless of having a winning team the week previously it's not rocket science.

Poynter shouldn't be playing @brandon :lol:

Like I've said I wouldn't have changed a winning side, like i said during the one day cup campaign as well. Agree about Collingwood nobody can dispute that but his form this season isn't even average. Anyone else would have been dropped. I'll stick with my view though its good to see Poynter doing well this innings.

Fair enough.

Think you're mental personally though, whether you agree or not - Poynter is our first choice gloveman and his previous knock was at Derby where he scored 170.

I did that in 98 at Darlington. Went out for a spot of grub and a drink. Came back in time to see mullaly take the last wicket and it was game over to Leicester

We were three down when I went out
