Are admiring Stewart Donald and his openness about the situation at Sunderland, he’s stood up to agents and players, he’s basically puffed his chest out and spoke on behalf of the fans. The mess that the previous regime left the club is shocking, it’s just pure negligence and disgraceful on how they ran the club.

People are taking note of us now and are looking at their own clubs to follow example, it’s refreshing to see and I’m over the moon we have a regime in who look organised and actually give a fuck about us and the club.

What fans of other clubs are saying this?

I think that's just the pompey/saints rivalry making you say that
Possibly, although that also made me keep a close eye on them when they were a league below us. I fancied a local derby, but unfortunately they never turned their financial strength into a proper promotion push.

I think it's great. Completely sickened by previous regime's ineptitude. Didn't particularly realise why I was so sick of watching the shower of shit that SAFC became. I can see it now we became a bloated clusterfuck of a club who (like many) lost touch of why we ever were attracted to the beautiful game in the first place. It has nothing to do with competing in the Premier League, as that has become a grotesque puppet chasing an impossible dream. I am happy to be a big fish in a little pond, getting back to community spirit and feeling attached. The mags can keep what they have. They are never going to win owt anyway, much prefer to feel part of something and the club growing naturally rather than through money.

As a fan of another club, I think he's naive and his time at Eastleigh makes me think he's way out of his depth...
I reserve judgment because I'm fascinated to see how it pans out. Naive? Maybe, but he can get away with it in league one.

If/when we return to the premier league, he will need to try to bring in elite players. Building a squad capable of competing while sticking to his principles of exposing agents and player motivations could wind up disastrous. We might find it even more difficult than ever to attract the quality we need. More than the other 19 teams who obsequiously ride the gravy train.

Oh, absolutely, so do we. I hope he succeeds, because football needs more chairmen who's heart is in the right place, but I still think he's being naive.

I think we're at about 8,000 so far. Way more than Eastleigh .

He might be naive, only time will tell. Maybe he'll get a bad reputation among agents and it'll make it harder to do business, maybe not. I know one thing though, clubs who are playing the agents game have got themselves into the position where many of them are one relegation and failed promotion attempt away from financial ruin because they are overpaying for shite, disloyal and unmotivated players and their self serving agents. I feel that won't happen on his watch and that's fine by me
