I'm on the morning ferry from Caen. Drove to the port last night and stayed in motothome- since they bulldozed the jungle at Calais, the illegals have spread out across other ferry ports. I was sitting in drivers seat eating some chips and saw once of the them crawl under my van- they were everywhere and trying it on with pretty much every vehicle

I'm sure I read 11 lap stints for LMP1? Surely not?

Aye. They messed up the rules - in my opinion anyway. One of the Toyotas missed the pit entry and did another lap and ended up being penalised for it because they’d gone too long.

It worked for the GTE classes because you had close racing all the way through but the problem was it removed any element of strategy. For instance if Bourdais had been able to make an early stop he might have gotten in front of the 91 Porsche but as they all had the same strategy it didn’t work out.

Penalised himself as he was out of fuel half way round and had to limp back on electric
